Over the past two years, we’ve doubled in size and continually look for team members with a customer-first approach and attitude to solve today’s digital documentation opportunities. We're looking for a local QA Analyst to join us. 


Position Summary

The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for developing and executing functional and end-to-end tests to ensure product quality. Additionally, assists in providing input to create a comprehensive testing process flow.  This includes reviewing system requirements, identifying acceptance criteria, debugging issues, and helping identify solutions and alternatives. 


Position Responsibilities


  • Coordination of functions across product management and software engineering.
  • Ensure products, applications and systems work correctly and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with product management, project management and software engineering teams to ensure an understanding of any issues and anomalies within the system.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases, with continuous refinement to improve overall quality.
  • Identify and assist in implementing automated test cases to enhance the quality and reduce the overall time associated with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Review and analyze product requirements and technical specifications.
  • Execute functional and regression test cases, while reporting and documenting issues.
  • Conduct manual testing and post-implementation testing.
  • Plan and perform different stages of testing, with a focus on identifying, isolating, and tracking bugs throughout testing. In addition, identify any potential user experience issues and opportunities.
  • Run automated test scripts as they become available.
  • Research and analyze product features being tested, review user interfaces for consistency and functionality.
  • Educate others on the features and functions of the system.
  • Track quality assurance metrics such as defect counts, QA to Development return rates and test case coverage percentage.
  • Provide estimates of the level of effort involved in testing for project planning purposes.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Acute attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to trouble-shoot and document errors.
  • Familiarity with test management software.
  • Familiarity with issue tracking software such as Jira.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.


Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or similar role.
  • Experience with Agile and QA methodologies.
  • Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience a plus, but not required
  • Must be local to the Tampa Bay Area.
